Respectful Footwear

Barefoot means barefoot, so when we talk about barefoot footwear, we are talking about footwear designed to make the child feel as if they were walking barefoot by respecting the natural development of the foot without squeezing or compressing it and allowing their toes space to move. and grow. For a shoe to be considered Barefoot, it must meet 6 essential aspects:

  • Have a wide tip;
  • Hard, thin (up to 7 mm) and flexible sole over the entire length;
  • Sole without unevenness;
  • No heel reinforcement;
  • Smooth insole without anatomical elements;
  • Have velcro or elastics for a better fit to the foot.

If the footwear does not meet some of these requirements, it can still be considered respectful as it meets most of the requirements, although it cannot be classified as barefoot.
